Yonkers Man Arrested In Yorktown For Driving Without License

He is due back in court in July.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yonkers man was arrested for driving without a license and other charges. Yorktown police charged Anthony Chavez, 33, of Saint Andrews Place in Yonkers, with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and unregistered vehicle and uninsured vehicle, traffic infractions.

Around 7:49 p.m. June 14, a Yorktown police on routine patrol saw a vehicle that was being driven with no registration sticker in the window.

The car was stopped and Chavez was identified with his passport.

A computer check found that he was operating the vehicle while his privilege to drive in the state was suspended for failing to answer a summons.

Further investigation found that his car was neither registered nor insured, police said.

Chavez was arrested and taken to police headquarters.

He was processed on the charges and released on $250 bail.

Chavez is due back in Yorktown Justice Court July 12.
