Yorktown Cops Accuse Mt Vernon Woman Of Bank ID Theft Attempt

Police said she went from one bank to another.

YORKTOWN, NY — A 46-year-old Mount Vernon woman faces felony charges in Yorktown after being arrested at the Chase Bank on Lee Boulevard Wednesday.

Police said they were called to the bank for a reported ID theft in progress. Bank personnel told the responding officers that a woman was trying to get a temporary ATM card for an account they believed belonged to another person, right after they had been warned about a similar incident at another branch.

She had a forged Connecticut drivers license, police alleged.
