Yorktown Gives Retiring Police Chief a Send-Off

He served with the department for 24 years.

YORKTOWN, NY — The Yorktown Police Department and the Yorktown community said goodbye to Police Chief Daniel McMahon, who retired August 29 after serving in the department for 35 years.

McMahon’s full-time replacement has not been named, but Lt. Robert Noble will serve as interim chief for three months, FIOS1 News said.

McMahon served in the Yorktown Police Department since 1981. He was promoted to chief in 2005. He served a total of 43 in law enforcement.
