Yorktown Heights Firefighters: New Officers, Busy Monday

One of five alarms the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department answered Monday led to this beautiful photo on Facebook.

The day started at 7 a.m. with a possible water rescue that turned out to be an empty boat. The reservoirs have been high, it could have just floated off.

Firefighters assisted the Mahopac Fire Department's assistance with a structure fire at 12 Mega Lane.

While some were in Mahopac, multiple additional crews including a FASTeam from Bedford Hills Fire Department responded and handled a possible structure fire off Baldwin Road, and a Lift Assist off Gomer Street.
