Yorktown Heights Man Accused Of Selling Pot

After being contacted, the man voluntarily surrendered to the police.

YORKTOWN, NY — Yorktown police arrested a Yorktown Heights man for allegedly selling pot. Imran Qureshi, 24, of Gomer Street in Yorktown Heights, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of marijuana, a felony, and two counts of fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana, misdemeanors.

Police said that between Feb. 16 and March 20, Yorktown police, along with members of the Westchester County Drug Task Force, conducted an investigation into the alleged sale of marijuana by Qureshi.

As a result, he was contacted Aug. 2 and voluntarily surrendered himself at police headquarters where he was arrested.

Qureshi was processed and later released on his own recognizance.

He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Sept. 4.
