Yorktown Man Accused Of Attempted Assault

A temporary order of protection of issued on behalf of the alleged victim.

YORKTOWN, NY — A 73-year-old Yorktown man has been accused of trying to assault someone. Yorktown Police said Louis Teurlinckx, 73, of Hedwig Drive in Yorktown, was charged with third-degree attempted assault, a misdemeanor.

Police said, around 8:25 p.m. June 4, an officer was assigned to check out a report of a physical domestic incident that happened at a Yorktown residence.

An investigation found Teurlinckx struck the victim in the face causing pain.

He was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

Teurlinckx was arraigned and released on his own recognizance. A temporary order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.

Teurlinckx is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court July 5.
