Yorktown Man Accused Of Drunken Driving
Police said he also refused to take a breath test.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown man was arrested for alleged drunken driving. Yorktown police said Fredi H. Villagran, 47, of Yorktown, was charged with aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more and driving while intoxicated, misdemeanors, and refusal to submit to a preliminary breath test, open alcohol container, fail to use designated lane and fail to use signal, traffic infractions.
Police said around 6:11 p.m. Oct. 5 they received a call about a possible intoxicated driver leaving a business on Downing Drive.
An officer observed a vehicle on Crompond Road failing to use the designated lane and a traffic shot was initiated.

An investigation found Villagran was operating the vehicle while intoxicated, police said.
Further investigation found he was driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more.

Villagran refused to take a breath test, police said, and had a open container of alcohol.
He was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.
Villagran was released on $100 bail to a responsible party.
He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court Oct. 30.
