Yorktown Man Accused Of Shoplifting From Macy's
Police said he stole a T-shirt from the store.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown senior citizen was accused of shoplifting from Macy's in the Jefferson Valley Mall. Yorktown police charged John Herroder, 75, of Yorktown, with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
Police said they received a report around 3:40 p.m. March 19 of a shoplifter in custody at Macy's.
An officer investigated and said Herroder left the store without paying for a T-shirt valued at $12.98.

He was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.
Herroder was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance.

He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court April 18.
