Yorktown Man Accused In Stabbing

Police said the victim had two stab wounds.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown resident was accused of stabbing another man. Police said Max E. Shulman-Hutter, 25, of Yorktown, was charged with first-degree assault, a felony.

Around 8 p.m. Monday, police went to a Yorktown resident to investigate someone with a "severe laceration."

A man was found at the residence bleeding from what appeared to be knife wounds.

Emergency medical treatment was rendered, with a tourniquet applied to one wound and direct pressure on the other. Police said the bleeding was stopped by the measures.

The investigation found that Shulman-Hutter stabbed the other man during a fight.

He was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing where he was arraigned.

A judge issued an order of protection on behalf of the victim and sent Shulman-Hutter to the Westchester County Jail without bail.
