Yorktown Man Arrested After Not Showing Up For Court Appearance

He had originally been charged with pot possession.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown man was arrested for not showing up for a court appearance. Yorktown police said Juan Pablo Cabrera-Llivipuma, 18, of Yorktown, was charged with arrest warrant for failure to appear, underlying charge of unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Police said, around 6 p.m. Oct. 16, Cabrera-Llivipuma missed a scheduled court appearance in the Yorktown Justice Court and an arrest warrant was issued.

Around 4:40 p.m. Oct 23, he responded to police headquarters and was arrested on the warrant.

Cabrera-Llivipuma was processed and arraigned.

He was sentenced by the judge to adjournment in contemplation of dismissal, in which the charge will be dismissed if he does not engage in additional criminal conduct.
