Yorktown Police Blotter: Stolen Property, Suspended Registration, Unlicensed Driving

Here are some of the recent arrests reported by the Yorktown Police Department.

Arrested, failed to appear, arrested again

Kathleen McDivitt, 47, of Mahopac, was arrested Sept. 11 on a warrant from Yorktown Town Court for failure to appear on an earlier charge of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

The warrant had been issued Sept. 2.

She was released on $500 bail.

Good Samaritan’s wallet goes missing

Danielle J. Hartmann, 19, of Mahopac, was charged Sept. 10 with nine counts of criminal possession of stolen property, felonies, after a Yorktown resident called police to report the theft of her wallet.

Police Officer Matthew Iacona learned that the Yorktown resident had given a lift to a stranded woman motorist—from Hanover Street to Mount Kisco and back.

On Hanover Street, Iacona found Hartmann in possession of the good samaritan’s credit cards and assorted papers, police said. She was sent to Westchester County Jail on $5,000 bail.

Driving a car with suspended registration and more

Peekskill resident Suzanne P. Giordano, 50, faces charges of speeding, driving with a suspended registration and failure to produce proof of insurance, after police stopped her on Old Yorktown Road at about 1 p.m. Sept. 10. She is due in Yorktown Court Oct. 9.
