Yorktown Police report the arrest of a forty-three year old Yorktown woman, who is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class “A” Misdemeanor, and Attempted Assault in the 3rd Degree, a Class “B” Misdemeanor. On September 27th, 2021 at about 6:20 pm, Yorktown Police responded to a Yorktown residence to investigate a report of a domestic dispute. PO Gregorio was dispatched and began an investigation. After further investigation it is alleged that during the domestic dispute a thirteen year old victim was stabbed in the hand with a fork, causing puncture wounds and minor bleeding. At 7:05 pm PO Gregorio placed the defendant under arrest and transported her to Yorktown Police Headquarters processing. The defendant was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia. A temporary order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim and the defendant was released on her own recognizance. The victim was left in the care of an adult relative under the advisement of the Court and Child Protective Services. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on September, 28th at 6:00 pm.
