Yorktown Police report the arrest of 41 year old Yorktown woman, who is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class "A" Misdemeanor. According to police, on September 21, 2021 at about 10:20 pm, P.O. Palladino observed a domestic dispute in the parking lot of police headquarters. Following an investigation, it is alleged that the defendant endangered the welfare of a 15 year old child by driving her vehicle from a Yorktown residence to the Yorktown Police Department parking lot with the child clinging to a rear bike rack on the outside of her vehicle.  The defendant was arrested and brought inside police headquarters for processing and the child was left in the care of an adult family member. Following processing on the above charge, the defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia. The defendant was released on her own recognizance and a temporary order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.  The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on October 5, 2021, 2021 at 6:00 pm.
