Yorktown Police Issue Statement About 'Creepy Clown' Sighting
Several Hudson Valley communities have had their own "creepy clown" scares.

YORKTOWN, NY — One report of a “creepy clown” sighting has spurred the Yorktown police to issue a statement that the public shouldn’t believe everything that’s online.
Chief Robert Noble said in a letter published by tapinto.net that the one report his department received turned out to be an incident in another community.
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement October 4 making clear that many of the reports have been hoaxes.
