Yorktown's ‘Unsettled’ Work Week Weather Forecast

YORKTOWN, NY — Easter Sunday’s beautiful weather will continue through Tuesday. Then it’s back to rain on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Temps also will get cooler as the week progresses.

Monday will be slightly cooler than Sunday; however, it will still be some 10 to 15 degrees above normal, the National Weather Service said.

Then the 70s will become a distant memory as high temps will only be in the mid 50s to low 60s by the end of the week. The Hudson Valley may even see thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday. (Get notices about special weather: Click here to get Patch’s news alerts and updates.)

"Some unsettled weather is heading our way for mid week… but we should get things off on the right foot!" said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

The National Weather Service provided this forecast for northern Westchester:

Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 70s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Tonight
Mostly clear. Cooler with lows in the upper 30s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 25 mph in the evening.

Tuesday
Sunny. Highs in the lower 60s. North winds 5 to 10 mph...becoming northeast in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night
Partly cloudy in the evening...then becoming mostly cloudy. Lows in the upper 30s. Southeast winds around 5 mph.

Wednesday
Mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of light rain. Highs in the mid 50s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday Night
Cloudy. A chance of light rain in the evening...then a chance of rain after midnight. Lows in the upper 40s. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Thursday
Rain likely. Highs in the mid 60s. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Thursday Night
Rain likely with a chance of thunderstorms. Lows in the lower 50s. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Friday
Mostly cloudy. A chance of rain and thunderstorms in the morning...then a chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 50s. Chance of rain 50 percent.
