Yorktown's Weekend Weather: Expect Some Big Changes

SOMERS, NY — You should spend some time outside today and Saturday because starting on Sunday it’s going to feel like winter has come to the Hudson Valley.

"On Friday and Saturday, we should be about 10° above average (low 60s), with a good deal of sunshine," says Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "That’s some outstanding weather for the 2nd half of November."

But he also says, "Enjoy it while you can."

Saturday night into Sunday, the cold will push into the Hudson Valley, with rain and even snow showers likely. The Catskills might get an inch or two of accumulation. Then gusts on Sunday will make for wind chills in the low to mid-30s — in the afternoon! And Monday will be colder.

We won’t even get into the high 40s in the Hudson Valley again until Thanksgiving itself, when we could get rain too.
