• Gardner-Webb University Announces Y2K Kids for Webbstock 2026 Entertainment Lineup (gardner-webb.edu) — Boiling Springs residents can look forward to Webbstock 2026, a free community festival at Gardner-Webb’s Brinkley Amphitheater on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 4-9 p.m. Y2K Kids and other tribute acts will headline an evening packed with live music, food trucks, local artisans, kids’ activities and plenty of chances for neighbors to connect on campus. 
• Gardner-Webb and Pinnacle Classical Academy Partnership Equips Students with College and Career Skills (gardner-webb.edu) — Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs is partnering with Pinnacle Classical Academy to give local high schoolers a three-week, college-style learning experience. Through the ASAP program, 21 students explored AI, finance, healthcare, agriculture and sustainability, earned continuing education credits, and tackled a creative “Trash to Treasure” challenge that blended career exploration with hands-on problem-solving.
• Peterson Named CSC Academic All-American, Eight Dawgs Land on Academic All-District Team - Gardner-Webb University Athletics (gwusports.com) — Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs is celebrating major academic honors for its track and field standouts, led by senior thrower Quentin Peterson’s CSC Academic All-American selection. Eight Runnin’ Bulldogs in total earned Academic All-District recognition, pairing top regional athletic performances with GPAs well above 3.6 and underscoring the strong student-athlete culture on the local campus.
