• BC announces Athletics Hall of Fame inductees (transylvaniatimes.com) — Brevard College is honoring three standout alumni and the 2016 mountain biking team in its 2026 Athletics Hall of Fame class, to be inducted during Homecoming on Friday, Oct. 16. The inductees include national-championship cyclists, a longtime coach who led women’s basketball to record success, and a history-making mountain biking squad that helped cement Brevard’s reputation in collegiate cycling. 
• This Little-Known Southern Music Center Hosts A World-Renowned Guitar Camp (southernliving.com) — Brevard Music Center is again turning the town into a bluegrass hotspot, hosting Bryan Sutton’s intensive Blue Ridge Guitar Camp and a big NC Guitar Celebration Concert on May 30, 2026, at Whittington-Pfohl Auditorium. Players from around the world audition to attend, while locals can simply grab tickets and hear world-class musicians alongside rising guitar students.
