Armed And Dangerous Murder Suspect Turns Himself In For Sunday Slaying

CMPD says William Medlin turned himself in for the murder of Lucas Baldwin, who was shot dead Sunday in Charlotte.

UPDATE: William Vandale Medlin, wanted for a the Sunday murder of Lucas Lorenzo Baldwin, turned himself in June 7, CMPD said Wednesday. He has been charged for murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have identified a suspect they say is responsible for the murder of a 34-year-old man Sunday and say the public should consider him armed and dangerous.

William Vandale Medlin, 41, is wanted for the murder of Lucas Lorenzo Baldwin, who was found shot around 4 p.m. on June 4 in the 4500 block of Wynbrook Way. Baldwin was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics.

Medlin has been identified as the prime suspect in the case, and CMPD says it has obtained warrants for his arrest for murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He was last seen driving a silver Ranger Rover with a temporary tag.
