Celebrate Shark Week With ‘Jaws On The Rocks’ Drink: Recipe
Charlotte metro Bonefish Grill restaurants are launching a shark-themed cocktail in honor of Shark Week. Here's how you can make it.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Cue the foreboding music of doom because the annual rite of summer that gets hearts pounding and skin crawling is bearing down with a quickness. Discovery’s Shark Week kicks off Sunday, July 28.
Charlotte metro Bonefish Grill restaurants are getting in on the fun this year by launching a new “Jaws on the Rocks” cocktail made of Absolut Citron vodka and St Germain Elderflower liqueur shaken with cranberry juice, fresh lime and simple syrup — all served up in a shark tiki mug.
From July 28 through Aug. 1, Bonefish Grills will also serve a special menu of bar bites that includes crispy cod sliders, wagyu beef sliders, crispy broccoli, shrimp toast and crispy calamari.

Here’s Bonefish Grill’s recipe for Jaws on the Rocks:

Ingredients:
- 1 part Absolut Citron Vodka
- ½ part St Germain Elderflower
- 1 part White Cranberry Juice
- 1 part Fresh Squeezed Lime
- 1 part Simple Syrup
- frozen cranberries, fresh sprig of mint — garnish
Instructions:
Combine ingredients over ice in shaker tin. Shake and strain into a rocks glass or serve in a large punch bowl for your party occasion. For a festive touch garnish with 3-4 floating cranberries and a sprig of mint.

Here in North Carolina, Shark Week hits a little close to home this year. In 2018, there were three shark attacks reported along the North Carolina coast, according to the Florida Museum of Natural History. But by June of this year, at least three attacks were reported, the New York Times recently noted, adding that the state has the fifth highest rate of unprovoked shark attacks.
