Soggy Week, Mild Temps Ahead In North Carolina
The work week is off to a soggy start today, with heavy rains and potential flash flooding along the I-77 corridor Monday afternoon.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Monday is off to a grey start in the greater Charlotte metro region, with heavy rains that could lead to potential localized flash flooding expected in the evening, according to the National Weather Service.
“Numerous to widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms will develop across the area this afternoon through tonight,” NWS said in a hazardous outlook advisory July 23. “The main threat from the showers and storms will be heavy to excessive rainfall, which could result in localized flash flooding, especially in urban areas along the I-77 corridor.”
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to put your umbrella away Tuesday. Heavy rain and potential flooding remain in the forecast through Wednesday, NWS said.
