This year, in addition to handing out free ice cream, Haagen-Dazs is celebrating the contributions of the humble honey bee. The company's Häagen-Dazs Loves Honey Bees campaign is 10 years old and the brand is dedicating Free Cone Day to the hard-working pollinators and asking consumers to support the buzz.

According to the company, one-third of the world's foods, including one-third of Haagen-Dazs flavors, are bee dependent. But bees are disappearing at a high rate.
