More Charges For Teacher Accused Of Sex Crime With Student

A Charlotte teacher who was arrested last month for sexually assaulting a student has been charged with more crimes.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- More charges have been added for an Alexander Graham Middle School teacher, who was arrested in early July for sexually assaulting a student he was tutoring in his home, Charlotte police said Friday.

Charles Ray Naas, Jr., 26, was arrested July 1, and charged with indecent liberties with a student by a teacher and sex act with a student. The alleged incident occurred in Naas’ home when the juvenile victim was there for tutoring.

An investigation after his July arrest led investigators to seek additional warrants. Naas was arrested Aug. 18 and charged with six counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, CMPD said.
