Charlotte sets 10 p.m. curfew for all minors under 18 to help curb 'teen takeovers' (charlotteobserver.com) — Starting November 1, anyone under 18 in Charlotte will face a 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew in public spaces unless with an adult or covered by specific exceptions. City Council approved the pilot program through August 2027 to address late-night "teen takeovers," while police track crime, safety, and equity impacts before deciding whether to keep it.
   

2. North Carolina's largest DMV office opens in east Charlotte (wccbcharlotte.com) — Drivers in east Charlotte now have access to North Carolina's largest DMV office on Albemarle Road, promising shorter waits and more efficient service. State and local leaders say the expanded staff and layout should ease pressure on other Mecklenburg County locations and make handling licenses, registrations, and IDs noticeably faster for Charlotte residents.
   

3. Register To Win: Back to the Future in Concert with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra (k1047.com) — Charlotte music lovers can enter now through October 1 for a chance to win four tickets to "Back to the Future in Concert" with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra at Belk Theater on October 3. The prize includes a live orchestral performance of the film's score, giving one local family a free, big-screen, big-sound movie night uptown.
   

4. Huntington National Bank to place name atop 40-story Charlotte skyscraper (wsoctv.com) — Uptown Charlotte's skyline is getting a new look as Huntington National Bank expands its regional headquarters in the One South tower and puts its name atop the 40-story building. The bank is also growing its branch network, planning about 55 locations across the Carolinas, signaling continued investment in the Charlotte region.
