Police On The Hunt For This Charlotte Bank Robbery Suspect

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police are asking for the public’s help locating a man they say was behind an armed robbery of a south Charlotte Wells Fargo Bank Monday

The armed robbery occurred shortly after 2 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 13715 Conlan Circle in Ballantyne. According to a police report, the male suspect approached a bank employee, indicated he was armed with a weapon, then fled after receiving money.

Surveillance footage caught the suspect on camera, and he is described as a white male, about 6-foot tall. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said.

The south Charlotte bank robbery occurred hours after a similar incident in north Charlotte.

“At this time, detectives do not believe that this suspect is the same suspect that committed the robbery earlier today at the State Employees Credit Union on University City Boulevard,” CMPD said.
