Suspect Charged With Murder After Man Found Fatally Shot In Home
Charlotte police have charged Jamarkus Crawford, 26, with pulling the trigger and killing a man in west Charlotte home Wednesday.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Less than a day after a 52-year-old man was gunned down in a pre-dawn shooting in a home in west Charlotte, police have made an arrest and charged the suspect with murder.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, an emergency call for service reporting an assault with a deadly weapon in the 4100 block of Tresevant Avenue in west Charlotte came in shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday. Responding officers found the victim, who was later identified as Titus Campbell, 52, had been shot in the home.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, CMPD said.

CMPD homicide detectives canvassed the area in a search for witnesses and physical evidence was collected. Based upon information collected, police identified the suspect in Titus’ murder as Jamarkus Crawford, 26.
“Detectives requested the assistance of the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team in locating Crawford,” CMPD said. “Through the coordinated efforts of the VCAT and the FBI Violent Crime Task Force, Crawford was arrested without incident,” and charged with murder.
