2019 Veterans Day Program In Cornelius: Event Details

Cornelius will hold its annual program saluting military veterans at the town's Veterans Monument. Here's what you need to know.

CORNELIUS, NC — The Town of Cornelius and the American Legion Post 86

will hold their annual Veterans Day Program at the town’s Veterans Monument on Monday, Nov. 11.

The event, which kicks off at 11 a.m. at the monument located at Rotary Plaza and Cornelius Town Hall, will honor military veterans and those currently serving in our Armed Forces.

This year’s ceremony will feature speaker Post Commander Gene McKinney, guest speakers, a 21-gun salute by American Legion Post 86, and patriotic songs by Rockie Lynne and the W.A. Hough High School Concert Choir.

The event will be moved indoors in the event of inclement weather, organizers said.
