3 Homes Broken Into, 6 Larcenies In Cornelius Last Week: Blotter
Cornelius police recorded numerous cases of breaking and entering and larcenies around town this past week.

CORNELIUS, NC — Last week’s holiday coincided with a quiet week for Cornelius’ jail, according to the most recent police blotter. Cornelius police did not make any arrests last week, however, there were numerous incidents of crime reported, from fraud to breaking and entering of homes.
Three homes were reportedly broken into in the past week, on School Street, Potts Street and Market Street. There were six larcenies reported, including a vehicle larceny reported at the a home on Potts Street that had reported a breaking and entering days before.
Three cases of fraud were recorded, including one complaint by Capital Bank and another by Cornelius Elementary School PTO.

Cornelius officers also issued 40 citations last week, including two tickets for driving left of center, seven tickets for speeding, five for driving with a revoked license and five charged with possession of marijuana.
There were no arrests made during CPD’s Nov. 28-Dec. 4, 2018 reporting period.
