4 Car Break-Ins, One Vehicle Theft In Cornelius Last Week: Police

Almost half of the 58 tickets given out by Cornelius Police last week were for speed-related offenses.

CORNELIUS, NC — Cornelius police arrested a 19-year-old man and charged him with four counts of drug possession, according to the most recent police blotter. There were also four reported cases of vehicle break-ins and one stolen vehicle reported to police.

Zachary M. Richardson, 19, was arrested Sept. 9 on Torrence Chapel Road and charged with two counts of possession of marijuana paraphernalia and two counts of simple possession of a Schedule IV drug.

CPD issued 58 citations last week, including seven for failing to yield to a pedestrian, 26 for speed-related offenses, five for expired tags and one for a texting violation.
