Missing Cornelius Teen Found Safe: CPD
Samantha Janet Mendez , 17, was reported missing after her mother told police she ran away from home Feb. 8.
CORNELIUS, NC -- A Cornelius teen who was reported missing after running away from home last week has been found and is safe, according to Cornelius Police. A $5,000 reward was offered for information leading to the safe return of a 17-year-old Cornelius teen who has been missing since Feb. 8, CPD said Feb. 14.
Samantha Janet Mendez was reported missing Feb. 8 by her mother, who told police she ran away from home during the day some time between 7:15 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Mendez was last seen wearing grey sweatpants and a hooded pullover, according to police, and is believed to have taken extra clothing in a burgundy backpack with a floral pattern.
