• Charlotte Transit System Adds Routes and Increases Service Starting Oct. 5 (power98fm.com) — Starting Monday, Oct. 5, Cornelius riders will get a new Route 177 North Meck Connector linking the Cornelius Park & Ride with Uptown Charlotte, Huntersville, and Davidson on weekday mid-days. CATS is also extending North Meck Micro hours to 9 p.m., giving local commuters and students more flexibility and reliability when traveling around Mecklenburg County.
   

• Congressman Tim Moore Introduces Let Americans Buy with Explicit Labeling (LABEL) Act (house.gov) — Cornelius residents now have defined Friday office hours to meet with Congressman Tim Moore's staff at the local district office, by appointment. The announcement comes alongside his new federal LABEL Act proposal, which would require clearer seafood origin and production labels on packaging, aiming to give consumers more transparent information at grocery stores nationwide.
