Arrests For DWI, Heroin Possession In Cornelius: CPD Blotter
Cornelius police made 10 arrests last week, for charges ranging from DWI to assault. Here's a rundown of recent crimes around town.
CORNELIUS, NC — Cornelius police made 10 arrests last week, for charges ranging from DWI to assault with a deadly weapon and heroin possession, according to the most recent police blotter. Eight cases of vehicle break-ins were also reported to police.
According to police reports, Deantre Donnell Black, 23, was arrested June 26 on Meridian Street, charged with assaulting a female, assault with a deadly weapon with a minor present and carrying a concealed weapon.
On July 1, Sean Frazer Yoe, 42, was arrested in the 18000 block of Harborside Drive and charged with possession of heroin, simple possession of a Schedule IV narcotic, possession of drug paraphernalia and extradition/fugitive from another state.

Eight vehicle break-ins were reported June 27 on Creek Trail Lane and Carrington Club Drive in the Colonial Grand apartment complex, CPD said.
CPD issued 45 citations last week, including 10 for failing to yield to a pedestrian, four for driving while impaired, and six for failing to wear a seatbelt.
