Boat Show, Revolutionary War Reenactment: Weekend In Lake Norman

CORNELIUS, NC — This weekend, there’s plenty going on around Lake Norman, from the Mid-Atlantic Boat Show in Mooresville to a Revolutionary War reenactment of the battle of Cowan’s Ford in Huntersville. If you’re looking for something adventurous, try your hand at finding treasure with a pirate map at Latta Plantation, enjoy Irish drinking songs in a pub. And to wrap up the weekend, D9 Brewing is offering a brunch to pair up with rolling out its new wild sour Michelada Gose.

There’s even more to look forward to this weekend, too. The rain is expected to move out of the region by Friday morning, leading into three days of sunny skies and mild temperatures in the high 40s and low 50s, according to the National Weather Service.

• Pirates Treasure Hunt — Saturday, Jan. 26, 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Latta Plantation Nature Center, 6211 Sample Road, Huntersville.
• Rebel Celtic Music Night — Saturday, Jan. 26, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., Galway Hooker Irish Pub, 17044 Kenton Drive, Cornelius.
• Brunch & Brews — Sunday, Jan. 27, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., D9 Brewing Company, 11138 Treynorth Drive, Cornelius.
