Breaking And Entering, Fraud: Latest Crimes Around Cornelius

Cornelius police issued citations to seven drivers who were either driving faster than 80 mph or 15 mph over the posted speed limit.

CORNELIUS, NC — Police in Cornelius made one arrest this past week, charging a 58-year-old man with several crimes including possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a public officer. Seven drivers were also cited for either driving faster than 80 mph or 15 mph over the posted speed limit.

Officers with Cornelius Police Department issued 46 citations last week, including 20 for speed-related offenses and six for expired registration or tags. Two people were cited for driving without a license.

  • May 28 — Breaking and entering, Lake Norman Powersports at 19335 H M Junker Drive
  • May 28 — Fraud, 19223 Hidden Cove Lane
  • May 29 — Fraud, 9327 Portage Drive
  • June 2 — Damage to property, 20119 Henderson Road

On May 29, Ronnie Louis Reid, 58, was arrested at 20232 Zion Avenue and charged with intoxicated and disruptive, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and resisting a public officer.
