Resisting An Officer: This Week’s Cornelius Blotter
Three out of eight people arrested in Cornelius last week were charged with resisting a public officer.
CORNELIUS, NC — Cornelius police made eight arrests last week, with charges ranging from child abuse and assault on a child under 12 to drug charges, according to the police department's blotter. More than a third of the arrests — 38 percent — were charged with resisting a public officer.
Three homes were reportedly broken into, and were located on Doves Crest Road, Kanawha Drive and Market Street.
Cornelius officers also issued 37 citations last week, including three tickets for speeding, seven for driving with a revoked license and one ticket for driving with no headlights.
