Christmas In Cornelius 2018: Santa’s Mailbox, Cocoa With Santa

CORNELIUS, NC — The holidays are quickly approaching and the Town of Cornelius has a list of family-centric events coming up, including cocoa with Santa, a preschool holiday party and one-day workshop, it said Thursday.

Here is a list of holiday events scheduled at the Cornelius Arts Center, located at 19725 Oak Street in Cornelius:

• Nov. 26 - Dec. 14 — Santa’s Mailbox: Drop a letter off at the Center's mailbox to the North Pole and Santa will respond! All letters must include a self-addressed and stamped envelope in order to receive a response. You can even drop off after regular business hours at our outdoor mail intake.
• Friday, Dec. 7 — Cocoa With Santa: Don't miss the Center's most popular holiday event! Santa will pose for photos for with your child and the fun will also include holiday crafts, cocoa and cookies! Remember to bring your camera or phone. No registration necessary for this free, drop-in event. Event runs 10 a.m. - noon.
• Friday, Dec. 14 — Parents Night Out: Drop your kids off for a fun night of holiday-themed crafts and a holiday classic,Disney's A Christmas Carol. Enjoy a night out for dinner and shopping and we will handle the rest. Pizza is provided. Ages 7 - 12 are welcome. ($10, $15 non-resident). Space is limited, so register today at cornelius.org/parc. Event runs 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
• Monday, Dec. 17 — Frosty’s Preschool Holiday Party: Enjoy a fun-filled morning with a holiday classic, Frosty's Winter Wonderland, crafts and snack time. Ages 3 - 6 are welcome, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. This event is free-of-charge; however, you must pre-register at cornelius.org/parcas space is limited. Events runs 10 a.m. - noon.
• One-Day Holiday Workshops: Ages 6-10 can join us for DIY Ornament Night on Monday, November 26, from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm ($10, $15 non-resident) and Holiday Paint Party on Monday, December 3, from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm ($15, $20 non-resident). Space is limited, so register today at cornelius.org/parc.
