Cornelius Jazz Fest Set For Saturday, May 19

CORNELIUS, NC — Music lovers in the Lake Norman area will soon have an opportunity to hear four jazz bands under the stars at the Cornelius Jazz Festival set for Saturday, May 19 in Smithville Park.

Say event organizers: “The Jazz Festival is a multi-cultural celebration! Bring your family, along with chairs or a blanket, to experience a great evening filled with local jazz bands, an array of artisans and vendors, food trucks, and children's activities.”

This year’s band line up includes the Calvin Edwards Trio, Dante Lewis Duo, Bradford Ray Bailey and Shades of Brown.

The event runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the park, which is located at 19710 South Ferry Street in Cornelius. Proceeds from the event benefit Send-A-Kid-To-Camp and the Smithville Community Coalition.
