Cornelius Outdoor Cinema Series 2018: Movie Lineup, Schedule

The Town of Cornelius just announced its summer outdoor movie schedule. Here's what you need to know to see movies under the stars.

CORNELIUS, NC — This weekend, the Town of Cornelius will kick off it’s summer outdoor movie series that will bring popular family-friendly movies to town parks through August.

Here’s what you need to know to see movies under the stars.

Movie Schedule

  • Saturday, June 2 — “Despicable Me 3”, Smithville Park, 19710 South Ferry Street, Cornelius.
  • Saturday, July 7 — “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pear”l, Ramsey Creek Park, 18441 Nantz Road.
  • Tuesday, August 7 — “Justice League”, Bailey Road Park, 11536 Bailey Road, Cornelius. This event will be held in conjunction with National Night Out.
  • Saturday, August 25 — “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”, Robbins Park, 17738 West Catawba Avenue, Cornelius.

Here’s what the Town of Cornelius says about the movie series:

  • All movies will be shown on our inflatable “blimp” screen, are free and open to the public.
  • Movie dates, time, and location are subject to change.
  • Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets! (Coolers and picnic baskets are welcome. NO glass bottles or containers, tobacco products, smoking, e-cigs, pets or open flames.)
  • Concessions will be available for purchase.

Weather permitting, movies will begin at dusk (approximately 8:30 p.m.) Some movies are edited for general content.
