Document Shredding Event Set For Saturday In Cornelius
Get rid of those stacks of old personal documents at the shredding event March 9 at Cornelius Town Hall.
CORNELIUS, NC — If you could use a head start on spring cleaning or just want to protect yourself from potential identity theft, you’ll have a chance to purge old personal documents this weekend in Cornelius. The town is offering free document shredding Saturday, March 9, from 9 a.m. until noon.
Residents will be able to shred up to four boxes or bags at the event, which is sponsored by the Cornelius Police Department, Shred-It and Truliant Federal Credit Union at Cornelius Town Hall.
Says the Town of Cornelius:
“The public is encouraged to bring documents such as obsolete tax documents, financial statements, canceled checks, insurance documents, business records or any records that they want safely destroyed to this event. There is no need to remove clips, staples, or binders from these documents. Due to heavy volume, Truliant & Shred-it may end the event prior to 12:00 p.m. due to truck capacity, equipment failure, bad weather or any other unforeseen event."
