Downtown Cornelius Gas Smell Due To Line Purge
Don't be alarmed if you smell gas near Hickory and Oaks streets in Cornelius today, police say.
CORNELIUS, NC — Piedmont Natural Gas is set to purge gas lines near Hickory Street and Oak Street near downtown Cornelius Thursday, according to the Cornelius Police Department.
The line purge, near CPD headquarters, will likely lead to a gas odor in the neighborhood.
