NASCAR’s Denny Hamlin Launches Little Big Burger In Cornelius

CORNELIUS, NC — Little Big Burger, Lake Norman’s newest restaurant to come online, is now open for business in Cornelius and serving cooked-to-order burgers, rootbeer floats, craft beer and truffle fries.

The new eatery is owned by NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin, who drives the No. 11 FedEx sponsored Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing. It opened at 11 a.m. Wednesday and is located at 8301 Magnolia Estates Drive near Publix Super Market.

Plans for the restaurant were announced earlier this year, when Hamlin entered into a franchise agreement with the burger chain that launched in Portland, Oregon in 2010. That agreement allows the Cup driver to open up to 10 locations under the Little Big Burger brand, The Charlotte Business Journal reported.

Hamlin celebrated the opening Tuesday evening during friends and family night, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page.
