Summer Drive-In Movie Series Planned In Cornelius

A new summer drive-in movie series planned in Cornelius offers an excuse to get out of the house while also socially distancing.

CORNELIUS, NC — While the list of community events canceled this summer due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic continues to grow, a new Lake Norman summer drive-in movie series offers an excuse to get out of the house while also ensuring responsible socially distancing.

"We are proud to bring to you a fresh new concept with a retro twist, Drive-In Movie at the Mill! We will be showing new releases and classic titles too, all under the stars and from the comfort of your own car," say organizers.

The event will be held at Oak Street Mill, located 19725 Oak Street in Cornelius on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights beginning June 18 and running through July 26. Also on site will be food offerings from local restaurants and food trucks, say organizers.
