Two Suspects Wanted In Weekend Break-Ins In Cornelius
Police are asking for the public's help identifying suspects wanted in connection to break-ins at Bruster's Ice Cream and The Fungo.
CORNELIUS, NC — Cornelius police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects they say are connected to a weekend break-in at two Cornelius business.
According to Cornelius Police Department, Bruster’s Ice Cream, located on Kenton Drive was broken into on Friday, June 7 by a suspect who broke glass to gain entry.
“This same suspect is believed to have stolen a Chevrolet pick-up truck from Kenton Dr, that has since been recovered,” CMPD said.
Police say the suspect is believed to be about 6 feet tall and was wearing dark shoes, sunglasses and obtained cuts to the hands from breaking glass.

On Sunday, another Cornelius business — The Fungo on Old Statesville Road — was broken into, this time by a suspect who smashed a glass door. During this break-in, the suspect wore a mask, a hoodie with the hood up, long pants, reflective gloves, and dark colored shoes.
