Woman Charged With Breaking Into Cornelius Home, Stealing Gun
Jacqueline Rion faces numerous charges in Cornelius including breaking and entering, drug trafficking and stealing a gun, police said.

CORNELIUS, NC — Police arrested and charged a 34-year-old woman with breaking into a Cornelius home and stealing a gun this week after the incident was caught on a home security camera.
According to Cornelius Police Department, Jacqueline Rion broke a window to enter the home and stole a gun, as well as other items. The incident was recorded by the victim’s security camera, which allowed authorities to make a positive identification of Rion as the suspect. Rion was apprehended during a traffic stop, during which time she was found to be in possession of drugs and the stolen items.
Rion was one of seven people arrested in Cornelius this past week, according to the CPD blotter.

Cornelius officers issued 48 citations last week, including 16 for speed-related offenses. Officers cited drivers eight times last week for failing to stop for a stop sign, four of which at the intersection of Robbins Preserve Road and Pennington Drive. Eight speeding tickets were issued at the intersection of One Norman Boulevard and West Catawba Avenue.
