2 Arrested On Assault Charges In Davidson: DPD Blotter

DAVIDSON, NC — Two people were arrested in Davidson this past week and charged with assault in separate incidents, according to the most recent round of police data.

Gilbert Ladet Giles, 34, was arrested New Year’s Eve on Davidson-Concord Road and charged with assault inflicting serious injury, according to the Davidson Police Department.

On Jan. 5, Art Davion Sanders, 34, was arrested on Jetton Street and charged with assault on a female and resist, obstruct and delay of an officer.

DPD also received a report of a cat bite Jan. 3 on East Rocky River Road and a case of embezzlement on Griffith Street, reported Jan. 6.

Police issued at least 12 citations for various offenses that do not require a court appearance, which included:

• Speeding — 8
• Expired tag — 2
• Expired inspection — 1
• Stop sign violation — 1
