2 Break-Ins, Dog Bite Reported In Davidson: Police Blotter

DAVIDSON, NC — Two cases of breaking and entering with felony larceny were reported in Davidson this past week, according to Davidson Police Department. A break-in was reported Jan. 22 on Queens Trail Drive. The second break-in was reported Jan. 23 on Westmoreland Farm Road, according to police data.

Other crimes reported to police this week include a violation of a protective order Jan. 21 on Magnolia Street, damage to personal property on N. Harbor Place Drive, driving while intoxicated on Jetton Street, and financial identity fraud and forcible fondling on Jetton Street.

On Jan. 26, a dog bite on Indian Oaks Lane was also reported to police.

Three people were arrested this past week in Davidson, police said:

• Joshua Steve Edwards, 28, arrested Jan. 25 on Jetton Street, charged with DWI
• Donald G. Bailey, 47, arrested Jan. 25 on Lakeview Avenue, charged with five warrants for arrest
• Markell Demar Turner, 26, arrested Jan. 27 on Crane Street, charged with an oder for arrest from Cabarrus County

DPD issued 32 citations overall, 29 for various offenses that do not require a court appearance. Those included:

• Speeding — 8
• Expired tag — 9
• Expired inspection — 6
• Failure to decrease speed to avoid collision — 1
• Seatbelt violation — 1
• No drivers license — 1
• Stop sign violation — 2
• Improper passing — 1

Citations requiring a mandatory court appearance include:

• Kamiikia Kimyata Peek, 44, cited Jan. 21 on Armour Street, charged with displaying a revoked tag
• Joshua S. Edwards, 28, cited Jan. 25 on Davidson Gateway Drive, charged with driving while intoxicated
• Markell Demar Turner, 26, cited Jan. 27 on Jetton Street, charged with driving while license revoked
