Assault, Damage To Property: 3 Arrests In Davidson

A 25-year-old was arrested and charged with simple assault on South Main Street. Here's a rundown of other crimes reported around town.

DAVIDSON, NC — A 25-year-old was arrested and charged with simple assault on South Main Street in Davidson, according to Davidson Police Department. It was one of three arrests made by DPD this past week, according to the police blotter.

According to DPD, the following arrests were made between March 3 and March 9:

  • Carson McKinley Sands, 25, was arrested on South Main Street in Davidson on March 5 and charged with simple assault
  • Ross Faron Leto, 43, was arrested on North Harbor Place in Davidson on March 7 and charged with damage to property

On March 6, police received a report of a hit and run with property damage on Beaty Street, as well as a dog bite incident on Jetton Street. On March 7, two separate simple assault reports were filed — on Greyton Lane and North Harbor Place. That same day, a larceny on Bridlepath Trail was also reported.

DPD issued the following citation that requires a mandatory court appearance:

  • Audrey Yvonne McDonald, 57, was cited on Griffith Street on March 3 and charged with displaying a fictitious tag.

DPD issued numerous citations between March 3 and March 9 that did not require a court appearance:

  • Speeding — 26
  • Expired tags — 11
  • Expired inspection — 5
  • Driving left of center — 1
  • Stop sign or red light violation — 4
  • Seatbelt violation — 1
  • No driver’s license — 2
  • Failure to register vehicle with DMV — 2
