• Flatiron Kitchen & Taphouse -- 215 S. Main St., Davidson. (980) 231-0912. “Ribeye, truffle fries and octopus, oh my! The steak was cooked perfectly and beautifully prepared, mashed potatoes perfectly seasoned and octopus you could eat all day. This was easily the best meal I've had in quite a while,” said Katie W.
• The Harp & Crown -- 19930 W. Catawba Ave., Cornelius, (704) 892-9641. “We went here for Mother's Day Brunch. The atmosphere is wonderful, staff is very friendly and the food was excellent. Large portions and very affordable,” said Jessica M.

The brunch was a bit pricey ($36 each), but the food was delicious. It did not disappoint. Plus the atmosphere is wonderful - a table right on the water! Wow!” said Sarah A.
