Boat Light Parade, English Tea: This Weekend Around Lake Norman
This weekend, the holiday will be in full swing around Lake Norman, from cookies with Santa to the annual Christmas light boat parade.

DAVIDSON, NC — The snow is finally melting, and holiday festivities will be in full swing this weekend in Davidson, Cornelius and Huntersville. There’s plenty to do around town, from cookies with Santa and a Victorian English Christmas tea party to the annual parade of boats decked out in Christmas lights on Lake Norman.
Here are our picks of the top five events to check out in Davidson, Cornelius and Huntersville this weekend:
- Cookie Decorating With Santa Mickey — Saturday, Dec. 15, 3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., The Davidson Playhouse, 228-A Caldwell Lane, Davidson.
- Bring your pet for Pictures with Santa at Lucky Dog Lake Norman — Saturday, Dec. 15, Noon - 4 p.m., Lucky Dog Bark & Brew LKN, 19607 Statesville Road, Cornelius.
- Victorian English Christmas Tea Party — Saturday, Dec. 15, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. French Market Cafe & Gourmet Shop, 20920 Torrence Chapel Road, Cornelius. $29.95 per person, and reservation tickets are required.
- 2nd Annual Christmas Light Boat Parade — Saturday, Dec. 15, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Lake Norman.
- Cookies and Cocoa with Santa — Sunday, Dec. 16, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Huntersville Parks & Recreation, 105 Gilead Road, Huntersville.
