Charlotte Area Transit Seeks Input for Improvement Study

Charlotte Area Transit (CATS) is inviting Davidson residents to offer input into the MetroRAPID Improvement Study. This study will determine enhancements to current bus rapid transit (BRT) service as well as identify capital projects that complement the service, notably mobility hubs, park and ride locations, and direct connections to I-77. Potential improvements may include the implementation of all-day service (including nights and weekends), new CATS park and ride locations, and new I-77 Express Lane Direct Connects.

CATS is hosting a virtual community meeting on WebEx Conferencing on Tuesday, March 23 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will consist of a presentation by Project Manager Brian Nadolny followed by a Q & A. Participants will be able to submit questions during the meeting via chat.

In the following weeks and months, the project team will meet with Davidson’s town leadership as well as elected officials, and there will be additional opportunities for public engagement after the team has drafted its recommendations.
